Lorenz Baumer was born in 1965, in the United States. While growing up, he traveled extensively with his parents due to his father being a German diplomat. Through this experience, he was able to observe the diversity of the world which highly contributed to his future artistic career. Lorenz Baumer always had an eye for creativeness and this, combined with his strong interest in precious gemstones opened the way to a lifetime career.
The jeweler is a true connoisseur of luxury jewelry. He studied engineering at the Ecole Centrale in Paris and, in 1989, proceeded with the opening of his first showrooms at 23 rue Royale for the sale of costume jewelry designed by him. After six years, the business was moved to 4 Place Vendôme. He gradually stopped making costume jewelry and, by 1992, was entirely devoted to the creation of fine jewelry.
While being in possession of his own brand, he still continued to be employed by renowned jewelry houses like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, and others; creating fabulous jewelry collections for them. In 2015, he opted to work totally on his own brand. Owing to the production of genuine and timeless ornaments, the house continued to progress at a slow but firm pace and, slowly, acquired fame in the world of luxury jewelry.
To enhance the quality of his jewelry pieces, Lorenz Baumer uses a variety of materials like titanium, olfactium, diamonds, gold, daguerreotype, meteorite, etc. He gained inspiration from architecture, poetry or natural plants; the designer’s jewelry products favor geometric forms and distinct lines, giving them a decisively up-to-date appeal.
