Boucheron jewelry has a strong heritage of jewelers who are highly devoted to their work. The story of La Maison Boucheron began at the time of the Second Empire when it was at its zenith. In 1858, the house was first established by Frédéric Boucheron at the Place du Palais Royal. He proceeded to establish the first jewelry boutique at the Place Vendôme, in 1893.
The boutique’s location was 26 Place Vendôme between the new Opéra Garnier district and the Tuileries Gardens. Wealthy clients are attracted to these areas due to the abundance of fashionable boutiques and leisure opportunities. The boutique had the “Boucheron” name engraved in fine gold lettering at the front and a grand entrance, decorated with green marble. Place Vendôme has become the center of French jewelry since then.
Royal women from all parts of the world are enticed by the stunning designs of Boucheron jewelry: neo-Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Etruscan, and other truly amazing masterpieces of jewelry designs to choose from. The house has its own unique style of acquiring inspiration from nature for its jewelry creations. The ornaments are replicas of flowers, bouquets, leaves, birds, and animals of various kinds adorned with precious stones or enameled with colors bringing forth memories of the late 19th century; reminiscent of the renowned jeweler Réne Lalique. Even in present times, The house’s magnificent collections of Bagha the tiger, Pegasus the horse, and Hans the hedgehog are evident of the jeweler’s fondness for the beauty of nature.
The fact that the Maison continues to fascinate everyone with its creativeness and astounding craftsmanship is manifested in the Ava collection, the Quatre ring and the exceptional pieces made for the Paris Jewelry Biennale. La Maison Boucheron belongs to the Kering Group since 2000.
Today Boucheron with its rich heritage has several boutiques around the world. Its astounding jewelry creations give an aura of beauty and originality; making it one of the world’s most esteemed jewelry houses.
