Deep Time: Louis Vuitton's new jewelry collection that celebrates the Earth's natural beauty
With Deep Time , Louis Vuitton's latest high jewelry collection, Francesca Amfitheatrof has explored the theme of geology , which is dear to the brand. Chapter II of the Deep Time high jewelry collection is based around this theme. With 50 new unique pieces divided into 10 themes, this collection offers new perspectives and harmonious designs.
Deep Time: poetic and mysterious jewels
“ With this second chapter of Deep Time, we continue the story of this most beautiful poetic collection that symbolizes a vast and incredible history, ” said Amfitheatrof.
Deep Time’s evolutionary story begins by transporting us to a time when Earth was comprised of just 2 supercontinents: Gondwana and Laurasia . Amfitheatrof crafted the Laurasia necklace (below) with yellow diamonds and contrasting metals, from platinum to rose gold. Amfitheatrof’s signature high-neck necklace features 7 rows of sparkling gemstones and the House’s signature V motif.
Drift: continental drift
After meteorological and seismic events, the Earth is transformed, inspiring Drift jewelry . Golden sapphires celebrate the sun along an elegant necklace decorated with classic V motifs, suitable for everyday wear with its matching white gold bracelet. This new era also welcomes the dawn of life. It is symbolized by the Myriad necklace, reminiscent of DNA sequences. The collection also includes another necklace and a matching cuff bracelet, as well as a ring and several pairs of earrings.
