Giorgio Armani launches into fine jewelry
Giorgio Armani , the Italian king of fashion, has decided to expand his empire to fine jewelry . With the " Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Jewellery " collection, the designer offers luxury jewelry for the first time.
The collection had its world premiere at his New York boutique on Madison Avenue . The Armani jewelry was accompanied by the Armani Privé spring/summer 2019 haute couture collection. It is no coincidence that Armani chose New York to present his first line of high jewelry. According to him, " the American market is very demanding, but also receptive. " New York should provide an opportunity to gauge the market's interest in these luxury jewels .
Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Jewellery: 20 luxury jewels made in Italy
The Privé Haute Jewellery line consists of 20 pieces handcrafted by Italian master artisans, under the watchful eye of the designer. These are Art Deco jewels that take the form of necklaces , rings, bracelets , earrings and brooches. These luxury Italian jewels were inspired by the Armani Privé Spring Summer 2019 haute couture collection, which was presented in Paris in January. These jewels are therefore particularly aimed at customers who wear Armani, to allow them to sport a total look.
Their prices vary between €17,600 and €167,000 . Many pieces of jewelry have already found buyers during Paris Fashion Week , although Armani has refused to give further details.
Armani jewelry in Tokyo and Paris
The collection, after spending some time in New York, will head to Tokyo and Paris. Regarding Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Jewellery, the head of the house said:
" I believe there is a genuine interest in the work of master craftsmen, in beautifully crafted and exclusive pieces that have been designed to last over time. I felt that the time had come to devote my energy to creating fine jewelry, in order to complement the existing offering of clothing and accessories in the Armani Privé collection. "
