Bulgari celebrates its 140th anniversary with the Aeterna collection

Bulgari , with its 140-year history, marked this exceptional anniversary in style in Rome . On this occasion, it unveiled its new jewelry collection, Aeterna , in the prestigious setting of the Ludovisi cloister in the heart of the Baths of Diocletian .

For the first time, Bulgari has brought together all the jewels of the Aeterna collection in one place. This touching moment for Lucia Silvestri, creative director of Bulgari jewels, was all the more significant as she thought this would be her last Bulgari jewelry collection before a now postponed retirement.

Serpenti Aeterna: An Unparalleled Luxury Necklace

The Serpenti Aeterna necklace , described by Silvestri as the " most precious necklace ever created by Bulgari ," was presented in the presence of brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas and other ambassadors such as Anne Hathaway , Liu Yifei , Shu Qi and Hikari Mori .

Diamonds at the Heart of the Collection

The Serpenti Aeterna necklace features diamonds rather than colored gemstones, symbolizing eternity and the brand's ability to constantly reinvent itself . It was made with a rough diamond of over 200 carats cut into 7 diamond drops, totaling 140 carats . The piece, adorned with 698 baguette diamonds and requiring over 2,800 hours of work, was sold for 40 million euros .
