ArtVendôme: a new jewelry fair arrives in Paris

Lovers of fine jewelry have reason to rejoice. In a few months, a new fair dedicated to fine jewelry will hold its first edition in Paris. ArtVendôme , which refers to the famous place of the great jewelers, will be held for the first time in January 2024 . On this occasion, collectors and the general public will be able to admire many pieces, sometimes exclusive.

Presentation of the ArtVendôme show

ArtVendôme, a nod to Place Vendôme, will hold its inaugural exhibition in 2024 at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, from January 31 to February 3. From the 2025 edition, the show will definitively take up residence at the Grand Palais , just in time for the reopening of the historic monument. This show dedicated to jewelry and the public: collectors, enthusiasts or curious people will be able to come together to celebrate the art of jewelry.

The idea for ArtVendôme comes from Richard Steeve Giraud , the show's founder and CEO. A lifelong jewelry collector , he has recruited a team of specialists to oversee the event. The show's director will be Vivienne Becker , one of the world's leading specialists in Art Nouveau jewelry , among other things.

Jewelry has always been my passion and I believe it is an art form that deserves to be celebrated. It is a universal form of artistic expression that fascinates everyone, ” said Giraud. “ The world of jewelry is extraordinary. My desire was to create a show that offers an unprecedented opportunity for all participants to be part of this transformative movement. ” The show aims to “ bring together collectors and new generations, all invited to collectively imagine the future of jewelry.

Antique jewelry and contemporary luxury jewelry

ArtVendôme will present the latest jewelry innovations , while exploring the captivating historical, social and cultural significance of jewelry. New and old jewelry will coexist to introduce this rich and exciting universe.

ArtVendôme will bring together the houses that matter, the designers who dream, the brands that break established codes, the leaders of today and the innovators of tomorrow’s jewelry world, ” said Vivienne Becker, the well-known author and expert.

The big names behind the ArtVendôme show

Other board members include Carol Woolton (author, broadcaster and editor of British Vogue), Fabrice Bousteau (editorial director, Groupe Beaux Arts), Pearl Lam (founder, Pearl Lam Galleries), Suzanne Tennenbaum (jewelry collector) and Sydney Picasso (art collector), who is none other than Pablo Picasso's daughter-in-law.

High jewelry is actually a little-known, sophisticated art… but also meditative and magical, imbued with the incredible power of stones, ” Bousteau said. “ Let us be illuminated by the beauty of these fascinating art objects in Paris next January.

Bousteau will also curate an exhibition for the show, exploring the history of jewelry across ages and cultures. Woolton, dubbed “ the voice of ArtVendôme ,” will curate a cultural program for the show, including interviews with specialists.

A little more patience for exhibitors and tickets

ArtVendôme will form a selection committee, whose members will be announced at a later date, to choose exhibitors with “diverse perspectives, artistic expressions, visions and rich heritage.” A first list of exhibitors present at ArtVendôme will be announced during the month of September. Ticket sales will begin in the fall .
